About
After being deeply moved by Monet's 'Water Lilies' at the Musée de l'Orangerie, I stepped outside into the sunshine and wandered into the Jardin des Tuilleries, where I discovered a beautiful large fountain. Children were playing with toy sailboats in the water, and I settled into one of the loungers, feeling entirely inspired. I pulled out my watercolors and began to paint the surface of the water right then and there.
